Custom Training Built Around Team Roles
training everyone on exactly what they need.
We believe that training everyone in their own role is the best method of success for shuls. We start by reviewing your staffing setup: Who does what, who needs access to which parts of ShulCloud, Salesforce, and more. From there, we build a permissions plan that matches responsibilities. Office managers get full access, assistants or volunteers get what they need, and board members see what’s appropriate for them. This way, everyone efficiently works within their space at the best level possible.
Then we make a training plan. It lists each person or role, what they need to learn, and how much time it will take. We will send it to you before we start, and you can adjust it if you need to. You may also request one-on-one training for staff who may need it.
- Assessment – We review your Shul’s current systems and needs.
- Customized Plan – Tailored sessions designed for your team.
- Hands-On Learning – Practical guidance on using tools and systems effectively.
- Q&A Support – Addressing specific challenges and questions.
- Ongoing Assistance – Continued support for smooth daily operations.

Flexible Training That Fits Your Schedule
On-site or remote Training
On-Site Shul Training
Flat Daily Rate
For in-person training, we have been on-site at shuls when they need hands-on help. This training is especially useful during data imports or when setting up new features.
Remote Shul Training
Hourly Charges
Some shuls prefer remote training. This works well for follow-ups, new hires, or quick refreshers. We share screens, use real records, and keep it practical. We also offer to record sessions, so staff can review them later.
Benefits of Professional Training
When staff are trained, they make fewer mistakes, spend less time troubleshooting, and get work done faster. This helps new hires start strong and keeps long-term staff from getting frustrated. If someone leaves, the next person can step in without chaos. Good training is more than just software – it’s about irreplaceable lessons from professionals.

Shul Works training information
Every staff member and volunteer who uses ShulCloud or handles data, donations, membership, or communications. That includes office managers, executive directors, program coordinators, and board members. We train each person based on their role, so they only learn what they need. It’s especially helpful for new hires, part-time staff, or anyone who’s been figuring things out on their own.
Professional training helps staff use their tools confidently and do their jobs more efficiently. When people understand how things work, they make fewer mistakes, spend less time troubleshooting, and don’t have to wait around for help.
It also makes a big difference for new hires. They can start contributing right away instead of spending weeks figuring things out. For long-term staff, it can reduce frustration and keep them from being overwhelmed by constant changes or updates.
It also builds consistency across the team. Knowledge isn’t stuck with one person, so when someone leaves or takes time off, the work doesn’t stop. Especially in a small office, that kind of stability really matters.
No. The training is built for people who use ShulCloud or other tools as part of their job – not tech experts. We start where your team is. If someone’s never logged in before, we’ll walk them through it. If they’ve been using it for years but only know a few functions, we’ll fill in the gaps. No one gets skipped over and no one gets rushed. We go at the pace your staff needs.
We usually start with a half-day session for leadership to finalize permissions and priorities. Then we train staff in small groups based on their roles: office managers, executive directors, and program coordinators. Each session is 60–90 minutes with time for practice. We build in one-on-ones if someone needs extra help. Most teams finish in 3–5 days, depending on size and how much is new.
Yes, we train volunteers too, especially those handling membership, events, or communications. We adjust the pace and depth based on experience. Some volunteers only need a 30-minute session on one function. Others, like board members who approve donations or manage lists, get more detailed training.
We recommend 4 to 6 weeks ahead. That gives us time to review your setup, build the permissions and training plan, and coordinate with your team. If you’re launching a new system or onboarding staff before High Holidays, book even earlier. We keep a few flexible spots open, but they fill fast.
Have your staff list ready with roles and responsibilities. Confirm who needs access to what in ShulCloud. If you’re migrating data or launching new features, make sure those are set up before we arrive. For remote training, ensure everyone has a working login and a quiet space to join the session.
Yes. We’re available for check-ins, troubleshooting, or short remote sessions if someone gets stuck. Many shuls schedule a 1-hour recap a few weeks after training. We also help when new staff join, no need to restart from scratch. Support continues as long as you need it.
