Can we add yahrzeits automatically when a member passes?
Yes. We can set up a process so that when a member’s status is updated to “deceased,” the yahrzeit is added based on the Hebrew date you provide. We’ll help you enter the date correctly and set it to recur annually. This reduces the chance of missing a date and ensures the reminder is in the system right away.
How do we handle yahrzeit reminders for staff?
We set up alerts so staff members receive notifications before each yahrzeit, by email or within ShulCloud. You can choose how far in advance the reminder comes (7 days, 14 days, etc.) and who receives it. This helps ensure letters are sent on time and families feel supported.
Can we track partial or installment payments for cemetery plots?
Yes. We set up payment tracking so you can record partial or installment payments for plots. The system shows what’s been paid, what’s still owed, and when the next payment is due. This helps during conversations with families and keeps your financial records aligned with the cemetery ledger.
What if a family wants to transfer a plot to another member?
We help you update the ownership record in ShulCloud. This includes changing the name, adding notes about the transfer, and updating any linked membership or billing information. We make sure the change is clear and permanent, so there’s no confusion later. We can also help you generate a confirmation letter if needed.
Can we generate reports for board meetings or audits?
Yes. We create reports that show active yahrzeits, upcoming dates, plaque renewals, and cemetery plot status, including who owns each plot, whether it’s paid, and if it’s occupied. These can be run monthly, quarterly, or annually. Clean reports help with planning, transparency, and compliance, especially during leadership transitions or audits.
